Manifesting is the art of making things “show up” in your life by using your mind and your emotions.
Yes, it does sounds a bit woo-woo. But it actually is quite rational.
You see, we generally operate on an outdated worldview based on Newtonian physics. However, since the beginning of the 20th century, there have been many scientific discoveries that have revolutionized our understanding of physical reality. Unfortunately, this knowledge has barely made its way into the mainstream.
Thanks to quantum physics and to studies on consciousness and the nature of reality, we are now beginning to scientifically understand something mystics have known for centuries: our physical reality is not as set as we perceive it to be, and it is constantly being affected by our state of mind.
Actually, we are literally shaping the world around us with our minds!
This information has been around for centuries. But, it has been kept hidden under a veil of religion, mysticism and coded language. However, it was understood by many great minds:
“A man’s life is what his thoughts make of it.” (Marcus Aurelius)
“There’s nothing like a dream to create the future.” (Victor Hugo)
“Everything you can imagine is real.” (Pablo Picasso)
This knowledge has recently resurfaced.
You may have heard of the movie “The Secret” which spoke of the law of attraction. This is one of the aspects of the manifesting process.
While the movie did a great job at bringing to the mainstream the notion that we affect our reality with our minds, its new age mood turned off a lot of people.
And for many, the simplistic (and materialistic) presentation didn’t provide enough practical steps to allow them to achieve the results they were longing for.
They were able to use the ideas presented to get free cups of coffee or score a parking space. However, they often failed to manifest “bigger” things.
What was missing were specific steps and an understanding of the learning curve involved in manifesting something “bigger” than a free cup of coffee or a parking space.
As a result, they became disillusioned with the whole concept and came to the conclusion that ‘this stuff does not work’.
That’s unfortunate, because manifesting does work and it’s extremely powerful! Actually, it’s happening all the time. Manifesting simply deals with the way things comes into our everyday lives: the good and the bad.
But because, we don’t understand the process, we often use it to bring negative things into our lives that we mistake as being fate or bad luck.
The point of mastering the manifesting process is to stop unwittingly bringing destructive situations into your life and sabotaging your success. And most importantly, to regain control of your destiny by having more of a say on what happens to you.
And once you know how to work with these principles, the rules of the game really change!
Events orchestrate themselves perfectly. Problems solve themselves effortlessly. Opportunities, people, tools and ideas enter your life at the right time.
Your life has an almost enchanted air about it.
The Scottish mountaineer William Hutchinson Murray described this phenomenon perfectly when he wrote:
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness, concerning all acts of initiative (and creation). There is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would come his way. I learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets: Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.”
Most people I work with report similar experiences.
Once they get the process right, uncanny coincidences occur in their lives within a few days. Things like books falling off shelves at the right page, or friends suddenly changing their behavior as if to reflect their new interests.
And as they follow through, they get carried over of bridge of events they could otherwise never have happened, which lead them to experience exactly what they had intended from the start.
I have known people who have used this process:
– to resolve legal matters that had been stalled for years in just a matter of weeks
– to manifest a new apartment despite a lack of funds and “wrong” credentials
– to manifest specific goods at a specific price or even for free
– to manifest certain experiences that would otherwise be hard to orchestrate
One of my personal manifesting mentors regained the use of her legs after 10 years in a wheelchair!
The sky really is the limit on what manifesting can accomplish in your life.
