Spring is here and we finally get to see the sky.
And you know what?
The bright and sunny days might be just what you need to find the energy to dust off your life. So if you’re tired of feeling stuck, today I’m sharing with you some tips to spring clean your life to get out of your rut.
All right, let’s get you unstuck!
So, the first place I’d like to go to is online because you know we spend a lot of time leading a digital life.
Think about your inbox, newsletters, social media. Social media is really bad because we have so many accounts so many people we follow and all the gossip and the nonsense, you know.
Maybe we need to clear that up!
So, here you have a question: ‘is this adding or subtracting to my life?’ and just go through it, clear it up.
Next place to go is your home because the home is that place where you should relax and gain energy but unfortunately it’s often, you know: you come home and there’s clutter and toys and magazines, and you know, all those things that makes you stressed and next you know head back right out.
So, here the idea is to get it organized so it feels like a sweet shelter, you know, a rampart against stress. And a question to help you: ‘is that this helped make my home feel safe, relaxed, centered or does it help make my home feel chaotic?’.
That’s how you’re gonna, you can proceed and clear your home.
Next place is your clothing, you know.
Go through everything you own, you can donate, maybe some pieces you can resell if they’re really expensive.
Organize things by colors, by type so you can get ready faster.
And what you want here is things that make you say ‘it’s going to be a good day!’. You want to feel energized by your clothes.
So, the question here, the question here is: ‘is this making me feel like I can conquer the world? Does it make me feel a happy or does it make me feel, you know kind of blah?’.
Next one is the career.
And the career is a big one, you know, because we spend so much time working. Here are several things to look at are: your daily activities, you know, boring meetings, stressful weekly travel, the tasks are aligned with your skillset, your values and how they match your job the company work.
For the big Ps, you know, the purpose- passion: life at the office, your colleagues, politics, you know, the commute. It’s not necessarily something that you can clear up as easily as your closet obviously but it’s really important to get you out of your rut.
Here the question is: ‘is this in alignment with my ideal lifestyle?’.
Next: your mind!
That’s the last but not the least because remember it’s your mind that gets you to pick up, you know these wrong clothes that’s cluttering your closet. It’s your mind that’s basically getting you to do a lot of these things that you now need to release.
So, you can think about a few things here: boundaries, negative thought patterns, people-pleasing, being too critical on yourself, procrastinating… And here a great tool to use is a journal because it’s going to help you get some perspective and identify your stumbling blocks.
And here the question is: ‘is this mindset or habit helping me become who I want to become?’. So there you have it, those were my five spring cleaning tips to help you get out of your rut. I hope you’ve enjoyed these tips and well, that’s it for today!
